The Allegany County Department of Planning & Growth is proposing CHR Bill 7-18, regulations specific to Farm Alcohol Producers (e.g. farm breweries and wineries). The purpose of these regulations is to provide clear direction in navigating the local permitting process, which will foster the continued development of the farm alcohol industry within the County. The Planning Commission’s recommendation made at the conclusion of their public hearing held on November 14, 2018 may be found here. No comments were received during the Planning Commission’s public process. A few minor revisions have been made to the Planning Commission’s recommendation.
The Board of County Commissioners will hold a public hearing on January 10, 2019 at 5:00 pm in Room 100 of the County Office Complex, 701 Kelly Road, Cumberland.
