ALLEGANY COUNTY IS A RISING STAR IN THE MID-ATLANTIC ECONOMY
A NEW CENTER OF GROWTH
Allegany County is poised to become a hub of commerce in the center of triangle between Pittsburgh, Baltimore and Washington. Strategically located long the I-68 corridor toward Morgantown and on to I-79, the community also enjoys a full network of rail connections and several Tier III Internet off ramps.
GROUND LEVEL COMMERCIAL INVESTMENT
In addition to local industrial park locations, the Allegany County Economic Development Department partners with the cities of Cumberland and Frostburg, Allegany College, Frostburg State University, Tri County Council of Western Maryland and the Maryland Department of Commerce to assist investors in the acquisition and development of commercial real estate.
The new mantra in Allegany County values the importance of new business paradigms that match our assets. Farm to table enterprises, farm brewing and distilling, eco-based businesses, makerspaces and bioscience ventures are as important to us as traditional manufacturing, information and distribution businesses. Winning the war for regional balance of trade is right up our alley!
