Duties & Responsibilities

The Office of the County Attorney provides legal support to the Board of County Commissioners and their departments providing research, review, opinions, and representation on matters pertaining to County Government. 

The County Attorney’s Office can only represent its client, Allegany County, Maryland, including the Board of County Commissioners and the departments within County government.
