How to recycle

  1. You may recycle your TV at Penn Mar Recycling from 8 am - 4 pm Monday - Friday. Instead of turning right to go to the Recycling Center on Kelly Road, follow the signs for Penn-Mar, they are at to the end of Kelly Rd. At this door they accept metals, electronics, fluorescent bulbs, etc. It will be $0.50/lb to recycle TV's. You can give them a call 301-724-1000.
If its cost prohibitive to recycle the TV, you may throw it away:
  • County Residents can use the Refuse Sites and TV's over 20" are 5 trash stickers ($5)  - TV disposal will increase July 2020
  • City of Cumberland Residents can call 301-759-6620 to schedule a bulk pick up for large TV's
